Order form and payment may be returned to the DWG water window. Brick orders are collected over a period of time and you will be contacted when yours is to be placed in the Historical Plaza.
90th Anniversary commemorative merchandise forms can be found on DWG's website or this blog page. Pre-orders are being taken for the t-shirts and tea towels. Pre-order pick up will be Saturday, May 16 from 10am to noon. Additional merchandise may be purchased with cash or a check at that time. Books are available for purchase and pick up now.

Completed forms should be turned in with payment to the water window at DWG City Hall.

Do you know what major milestone happens in 2026? The City of Dalworthington Gardens turns 90 years old! (And yes, around a week after DWG’s birthday the first FIFA match comes to Arlington and about a month later the United States celebrates its Semiquincentennial.) This is a major milestone for the place our mayor calls ‘the best place to live’, so please join us in celebrating this milestone. We are looking forward to having a great turn out from our wonderful DWG residents, businesses, and friends who have previously been a part of DWG or just enjoyed something in our city over the years. June 1, 1936 was the date the Dalworthington Gardens Homestead Association was incorporated in Delaware. It was on this date that DWG ceased being a Federal program and became its own entity. To give everyone the best chance of attending our city’s birthday celebrations this year, we will be holding our celebrations on Friday, June 5 and Saturday, June 6 instead of June 1. We mentioned in our previous post that we will be sharing more information about the early days in DWG leading up to our 90th celebration on June 5th and 6th. Following are some historical tidbits that you will be able to learn more about during our different events. (See the June 5 and June 6 tabs for more event info.) On June 1, 1936 during the Great Depression, Dalworthington Gardens incorporated as a homestead association. In 1933 Carl Mosig purchased a home and land (next to present day Green’s Produce) along Arkansas Lane and called it Happenstance. It was also happenstance that First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt came to the home of Carl Mosig, with her son Elliott later that year. This chance meeting led Eleanor to believe she had located the perfect spot for one of her husband’s Subsistence Homestead Program sites that were part of the New Deal. Mark your calendars! We are planning a grand celebration for June 5th and June 6th. We want you to join our team. There are so many ways you can help us. Volunteers are needed to help decorate, take tickets, sell t-shirts, pass out food, work a demonstration table, set up/man tables, work park games, and so much more. Other ways to help are through sponsorships, both monetary or in kind. All sponsorships will be recognized at our events and in our newsletter. Let us hear from you!
